Congratulations to 2011 FMC Graduates

The Maldives National University 2011 Graduation ceremony was held last night (20 July 2011) at Islamic Center Meeting Hall. Students who successfully completed Bachelor of Business, Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Business, Advanced Certificate in Management (Kulhudhufushi Campus & Male’ Campus) participated in the ceremony. In addition to the graduates, this year’s recipient of the prestigious Shaheedh Ahmed Labeeb award was also given.

A warm congratulation to all students who graduated and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

FMC Students Annual Trip 2011

FMC students went on their annual trip on 8th July 2011 to the picnic island Kuda Bandos. The trip organized by FMC Students Association was very successful and an exciting event. The traditional music “Boduberu” and many exciting sports events were conducted during the trip. The events include beach Volley ball, Beach football and open water swimming and many more.

FMC holds staff orientation session for Term 2, 2011

FMC held the staff orientation session for all academic staff today.

The main objectives of the session were to introduce all the academic staff to each other, identify important issues relating to teaching and students, and also to get feedback from the academic staff.

Some of the key areas discussed were contact hours, class re-scheduling, assignments, extra classes, dress code, attendance and student-teacher interactions.

Several full time and part time lecturers provided feedback on various matters discussed.

FMC holds orientation for Term 2, 2011

Today, FMC held the orientation for the new intake of Term 2, 2011. The ceremony was held at FMC Auditorium. Mr. Shathif Ali (Dean of FMC), Mrs. Shafynaz Abdul Rasheed (Academic Staff) and Mr. Abdulla Shahyn Rasheed (Secretary of FMCSA) were among the speakers who gave important information about FMC and University academic life.

The ceremony was concluded after the students met their course coordinators from the various department followed by a tour of FMC.

We wish all the students of the new intake, and current students all the best in your studies for Term 2 of 2011.
